When choosing a wood-burning stove, it’s crucial to consider your heating needs and the heat output. This is typically measured in kilowatts (kW). Smaller stoves, ranging from 3kW to 5kW, are best for smaller rooms or as secondary heating in larger spaces. Medium-sized stoves, between 5kW and 8kW, are ideal for medium-sized rooms or primary heating in smaller homes, while larger stoves, 8kW or more, are better suited for larger areas or open-plan living spaces.
